Hey Stephanie, I am not using any plug-ins that are unique to my site. In other words, many of them are available to download off word-press plug-in in your admin panel. Some of my more noticeable ones are Sociable, Platinum SEO Pack, WP-ContactForm, WP-SpamFree, Twitter Tools – Bit.ly URLs, Viper’s Video Quicktags, and NextGEN Gallery. In addition, I would honestly say the number one reason my site loads faster is probably because my host’s server is either has a superior PC or connection, or both. Look into changing or upgrading your host, I personally use Penecta. My good friend runs it and he offers an excellent price, good service and a quick server. Hope that helps.
