The iphone is cool, but I just got to try the HTC Incredible… and that phone IS incredible! My brother just purchased it and I can barely comprehend how neato it is. And with so many applicaitons available with open source, the options are limitless.

If by blog platform you mean Word-Press then absolutely. I just do not think there is a superior product to build a simple Web page around. Yes there are CMS (content management systems) like Joomla that work great too, but trust me they are much more complex if you want a multi-page site, CSS ready, advanced features, etc. In addition, many of the Joomla ad-ons are not free, which they will not inform you until you are neck deep in the software. With Word-Press, there is a free widget or plug-in for just about anything you need. Plus, it runs solid, very bug free. So yes, the Word-Press platform is a great platform for a first, or second, Web site. Hope that helps.
